Ivy&I was founded by Claudi; a German born creative designer, jeweller and gemologist. Jewellery and gemstones have always been a great passion for Claudi, and she feels privileged to be able to work and play with some of the finest and rarest gemstones available.
Claudi originally moved to Australia in 2002; settling in Sydney and starting work in a jewellery shop located in the Queen Victoria Building. After qualifying as a gemmologist in 2005, Claudi joined Venerari; a boutique jewellery studio located in the Strand Arcade in Sydney in 2006. She truly enjoyed working at Venerari, a genuinely creative environment that allowed her to be artistic and further nurture her appreciation for bespoke jewellery.
Claudi continued her studies, completing a Diploma in Diamond Technology in 2006, followed by a design course in 2007. She also tutored on a regular bases at the Gemmological Association of Australia before enrolling to study Jewellery manufacturing at Enmore TAFE. She graduated in 2012.
After giving birth to her first daughter Ivy in 2013, Claudi decided to get back on the creative path and started working from her home studio – Ivy&I was born!
With more than fif years of experience in the jewellery industry, Claudi takes an innovative approach to creating personal and unique jewellery with a twist. She likes to produce pieces with meaning; reflecting the wearer’s personality, whilst also adding her own original and often playful elements to the design. She draws her inspiration and influences from architecture, natural forms and the vivid Australian environment she now calls home.
Claudi enjoys working with natural gemstones, and precious metal and most importantly; the people themselves, one of the key raw materials in making a truly personalised piece.
Her clients are able to see their commissions evolve in a step by step process; each one is truly one of a kind. Having your own piece of jewellery designed and handcrafted by Claudi is a very exciting journey. Find out for yourself
